SWSoft has released a new kernel which includes security updates. We will be rebooting all VPS servers to update the kernel on Saturday May 7th, starting at 5am EST.
Can you tell me a little more about this upgrade?
I can't find anything on the SWSoft website to indicate there is a new kernel revision. Just curious really! :)

Great service ;)
I'm 7 hours ahead of EST time, and when I went to check the status of my VPS I noted it was down, and got back in few minutes. Very good.

The downtime was scheduled maintenance, per 2 emails notifications sent out as well as a forum posting.

Yes Tom, I was aware of the planned kernel update, but being the first maintainance procedure I ever passed as a customer, I did not what I could expect (actually my move to a VPS was 90% determined by bad service on shared hosting).
Thanks again,
Ciprian.
